Put Your Hope in Jesus

I was once told that if I had no expectations, I would never be disappointed. While that may be true, hopeless is a terrible way to live. Politicians and systems will disappoint but there is One who will never disappoint, never let you down and He is closer than your own breath. Where we are weak, He is strong. Where we are poor, He is rich. We have allowed ourselves to become both weak and poor.

We are called to put our faith and our hope in Jesus. He is alive, vibrant and ever hopeful. We have all been given different gifts, it is long past time time that we submit them to Him and put them to good use.

"Share your food with the hungry. Seek out the poor who do not have homes and bring them into your home. When you see those without clothes, clothe them as you would clothe yourself. Then your light will shine out as the coming of the dawn and your wounds will be healed quickly. Your good deeds will go before you, directing you towards peace and prosperity and the glory of The Lord will be your protection from behind. If you feed the hungry and satisfy their afflicted soul; then your light will shine in the darkness and your gloom will be as the noon day sun. The Lord will continually guide you and satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places giving strength to your bones and you will be like a spring of water, whose waters never fail" (Isaiah 58:7, 8, 10, 11).
